Evelyne Tollman Werzowa is originally from South Africa. She is an actress, writer, and producer. Evelyn has written and produced three plays and received an LA Weekly pick of the week. Evelyne completed the prestigious 2-year "Writers Boot Camp Program" in Los Angeles. Her first film 'Somebody's Mother' had its world premiere at Cinequest and Revelation Film Festival in Australia in 2016. Evelyne wrote, produced, and acted in the film.LA Weekly gave the film poignant reviews. LA Weekly compared her play The Pig And I to Monty Python. Her short film Poor Peter can be seen on Funnyordie. She has written for the Huffington Post on loss. She has three award-winning screenplays. Old Time Girl was a finalist at the Paris Film Awards and won Italy's Social World Film Festival. Her film The Stand-Up Doll a documentary played at many Film Festival. Indie Rights picked up both films, and they are on Amazon Prime. The Stand-Up Doll won the best documentary at the Silk Road Film Festival and Amsterdam Film Festival and played worldwide. Her feature film about growing up in apartheid South Africa is in development. Evelyne has completed episode one of her pilot HOT MESS, which won best screenplay at XXPunta del Erste Jewish Film Festival, Best Comedy Vienna Independent Film Festival, and was nominated for best short at The Big Apple Film Festival and DTLA Film Festival.
